The Grand Saint Bernard road pass reaches 2,469 meters and is the third highest alpine passage in Switzerland. It connects the Swiss city of Martigny to the Italian city of Aosta. Throughout its tens of kilometers, you will see a magnificent road that passes by the lakes of Toules and Saint Bernard and the Alpine peaks of Mort, Telliers, Fourchon, Grand Golliat and Velan. It is an ancient passage used by the Romans or even by Napoleon to enter into Italy. The landscape is magnificent. You start climbing through a forest, then you reach the pine trees and after the trees disappear, you see only the imposing mountains. It's a fantastic feeling: it's just you and the mighty mountains. For better admiring the nature you can stop at one of the car parks in the area or you can choose a hiking trail . Go and see the passage of Grand Saint Bernard ! You will be amazed by its beauty and the imposing force of the surrounding mountains.

Just another Swiss masterpiece on inginery, the world's longest pedestrian suspention bridge has been inaugurated on the 29th of July 2017, near the village of Randa, canton of Valais, Switzerland. The bridge is 494 meters long, 65 cm wide and sits 85 meters above the valley. The breathtaking bridge offers stunning views of the Matterhorn, Weisshorn and Bernese Alps. The cost for building the world's longest pedestrin suspension bridge was around 750.000 CHF and it took 10 weeks to be build. It is called " Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge " after the name of its main sponsor. There are two ways to reach it: from Randa (aprox.2-2.5 hours walk) or from Grachen or Zermatt (aprox.6-7 hours). One thing is for sure: Switzerland has the most beautiful views I have ever seen . During the Easter Holiday I took a short Swiss hike  in the moutains and I will let you know how you can also enjoy these magic places. A Swiss cottage Our hike took about 4 hours, with a 30 minutes break and took place in one of the most beautiful area: Les Avants , on top of the Swiss Riviera . Les Avants is a small Swiss village, with around 300 inhabitants and it is situated at 1000 meters altitude. It is especially recommended to come here in May-June because the mountains are covered with Narcisses ( Daffodils). The locals call this "May's Snow".
